Joseph M. Caruso, MD, FACS

Founder & Vascular Surgeon

Dr. Joseph Caruso is a double board certified general and vascular surgeon. He treats the full range of vascular conditions, including peripheral artery disease, venous insufficiency, and varicose veins, using both traditional open surgery and minimally invasive technique.

His view is that knowing both approaches is what makes good care possible. Keeping up with emerging treatments matters, but so does knowing which option is right for the patient in front of you and having the skill to deliver exactly that.

After earning his medical degree at the State University of New York in Brooklyn, Dr. Caruso completed his internship and general surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He continued with a vascular surgery fellowship focused on advanced minimally invasive and open surgical technique, then completed an additional year as a research fellow, during which he won an award from the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma for his clinical research.

Dr. Caruso was born and raised on Long Island, New York, and now calls Texas home. In his spare time you will find him with his family or riding his motorcycle at one of the local race tracks.
