How your first visit works
Most of the visit is listening and imaging. You will not leave with a referral and a question mark.
We start with your history
When symptoms began, what makes them worse, and how far you can walk tells us more than any single scan.
Then we image and explain
Vascular ultrasound takes about twenty minutes, and your results are reviewed with you before you leave.

Joseph M. Caruso, MD, FACS
Double board certified general and vascular surgeon
Dr. Caruso earned his medical degree at the State University of New York in Brooklyn, then completed his internship and general surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He finished his training with a vascular surgery fellowship covering both open and minimally invasive technique, and stayed on an additional year as a research fellow, where his clinical research earned an award from the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. He moved his practice from New Jersey to Texas in 2010. His view is that knowing both the traditional and the minimally invasive approach is what lets you choose the right one for the patient in front of you.
